Bell & Howell Single-Focus Anamorphic

  

Single Focus Bell & Howell Anamorpic Lens. I have modified this Bell & Howell projector lens to work as an anamorphic adapter for widescreen filmmaking. Simply attach this lens to the front of your taking lens. A support bracket is included. The support bracket allows you to swap lenses without having to realign the anamorphic.

The support bracket requires a 15mm rail setup (not included). I pioneered the modification of this lens, this is the original design and not a knock-off. The front housing is a CAD-designed, CNC-machined, anodized aluminum replacement with a professional fit & finish. This mod is high quality, scrupulously researched, and completely reversible.

This is a great turn-key solution for micro four thirds (M43) anamorphic filmmaking. Set it on rails and start shooting!

With an M43 sensor you can shoot down to 58mm-55mm without vignetting. For APS-C it is around 85mm, and for a full frame sensor it's around 100mm.

The front filter thread is 58mm. The rear thread is Series VII (S7). The glass is in very good condition. Nothing that should impact your shooting image. The body is in good condition, some scratches but nothing that affects the operation of the lens.

Focus gear allows for easy rack-focus. Focus from infinity down to 10 inches. Excellent 15mm rail support / alignment. Lens rated at f1.4. The filter thread is non-rotating - perfect for variable neutral density filters.

The lens has been calibrated for infinity. The front housing has a hex lock screw on the side (allen wrench included) which allows the housing to be adjusted if recalibration for infinity is ever needed. Footage was shot using a Helios-44 58mm f2 as a taking lens. Modified Bell & Howell anamorphic lens.
